LaCie introduces new solutions for video professionals

The second generation of LaCie's network drive family arrives with solutions that now reach network speeds of up to 70 MB/s. For creative professionals, it will offer three product families: LaCie 2big Quadra, LaCie 4big Quadra and LaCie 12big Rack with capacities ranging from 1 to 24 TB.

LaCie's professional range will now offer new solutions for creative professionals with a portfolio of products that stand out for their high level of demand and maximum performance. This new family is made up of units that offer high storage capacity and transfer speed. Another of the strong points of these solutions is their RAID power and their high level of data protection. LaCie offers creative professionals three product families: LaCie 2big Quadra, LaCie 4big Quadra and LaCie 12big Rack with capacities ranging from 1 to 24 TB.

The LaCie 2big Quadra unit features two hot-swappable hard drives and an aluminum design designed to dissipate heat reliably and safely. In this way, professionals will be able to work with all the peace of mind that this unit offers. In addition, it allows automatic backups and file transfers at speeds of up to 165 MB/s. It has two RAID modes (RAID 0 and RAID 1) and incorporates four interfaces to offer full compatibility with any computer, both Mac and Windows.

The LaCie 4big Quadra is LaCie's RAID storage solution that features 4 hot-swappable internal hard drives. Therefore, in the event of a disk failure, it can be easily exchanged for another, without having to interrupt the work process. An advanced replacement system so you don't waste a single moment. In addition, it includes a complete software package to automatically backup all your files, both on Mac and PC. It connects to any computer through its four interfaces and can store files at a speed of up to 230 MB/s through 3 Gbit eSATA.

As for the solution, LaCie 12big Rack offers maximum security and space in a truly compact and resistant unit. The 12 internal hard drives it incorporates offer totally reliable storage, since each drive is checked, one by one, before leaving the factory to avoid failures. In addition, it is capable of reaching a transfer speed of up to 795 MB/s and saving our data in a true computer safe.
