David Systems has updated its 2010.1 software package to add new capabilities to its DigaSystems media management products for production, content sharing, management and broadcast.
The main new features now include support for XDCAM-HD and Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 qualification for most of the solutions integrated in the DigaSystems line. This support is, without a doubt, a decisive step to facilitate the management and playout of high definition content.
Among the latest improvements, the powerful conversion possibilities supported by the Media Component Library (MCL) system stand out, allowing integrated support for both XDCAM-HD, MPEG2-HD and DVCPRO formats. Furthermore, the possibility of reading the material at the same time as writing is now a reality in the new tools of the Moves Media suite, thus accelerating the workflow in newsrooms where journalists work on HD material, for example.
