Projectiondesign Cineo35, the first native 2.5K projector
The Norwegian Projectiondesign will unveil at IBC 2010 the new Cineo35 2.5k, the first projector on the market that works with native images at 2560x1600 resolution. To provide the best possible performance, the projection lenses and optics in the Cineo35 have been designed to work above 2.5K resolution.
By offering an uncompressed and unmodified 2K display, the new Cineo35 delivers the fine details that 1080p projectors are unable to deliver without cropping or scaling the image. Additionally, due to the extra resolution available, the projector can display full 2K in one window and still offer space for editing tools on the same screen. This makes the Cineo35 2.5K an ideal projector for installations where color accuracy and performance are the most important criteria.
The projector features several predefined profiles as a calibration standard, allowing users to quickly switch between color spaces and calibration settings. Thanks to Projectiondesign's RealColor color management suite, calibration accuracy is guaranteed to be within 0.002 points at any location. To provide the best possible performance, the projection lenses and optics in the Cineo35 have been designed to work even above 2.5K resolution. These lenses are made of improved low-dispersion spherical glass that offers greater contrast, sharpness and color saturation.
Based on DLP technology from Texas Instruments, the Cineo35 has four inputs (two HDMI 1.4 and two DVI Dual Link), and offers an optional 3G SDI input. It comes with a selection of lenses, and is available in both traditional lamp and LED versions. A 3D stereo version will also be offered in this new range of projectors.
