The NEC NC2402ML projector is based on a modular concept that allows movie theaters to connect the appropriate light module depending on the lighting they need.

NEC has announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas the first cinema projector that integrates a modular laser light system into a projector.

The projector NEC NC2402ML is based on a modular concept which allows cinema spaces to connect the appropriate light module depending on the lighting they need. This functionality is crucial to adapt the projectors to different screen sizes, ensuring they can be installed even in large auditoriums. This new modular lighting concept is the perfect option for those spaces that want flexibility to obtain optimal lighting.

The NC2402ML includes in one package the NEC NP-02HD projector with a 24,000 lumen light module, one of three interchangeable light modules available (24,000 lumens, 20,000 lumens and 18,000 lumens respectively). It is a single device, the modular concept makes it quick and easy to have the right light output for different screens and scenarios.

The new movie projector uses RB laser technology, providing sharp and almost spot-free images, combining all the benefits of RGB laser technology and offering a lower cost. Cinemas can save even more as the NC2402ML can be used with the NEC NC2000 series of projector lenses.

A great advantage of this projector is that its maintenance is practically zero: no lamp and filter replacement costs, no maintenance staff costs and no need for lamp stock thanks to the innovative laser light engine.

On the other hand, his optical engine is sealed Minimizing the entry of dust and smoke, it ensures consistent performance and requires no special maintenance.

It also has a number of integrated features such as optional 2TB integrated display server, 2 x 3G SDI interfaces, HDMI output for alternative content, advanced networking and integrated GPIO functions that support NAS storage.

Videowalls NEC

NEC has also announced important improvements in the performance of its range of video walls that make content management even easier, after the launch of HiperSource Browser.

Hiperwall, NEC partner, has just announced Hiperwall Version 6.0, the latest version of its flexible content management system for IP-based video walls. The software incorporates Hiperwall's new HiperSource Browser that simplifies the publication of web content on large surfaces, such as video walls and dvLED (Direct View LED) screens.

HiperSource Browser provides a direct connection between web content and the video wall which increases flexibility and offers greater control of the content. At the same time, NEC customers can benefit from Hiperwall's new licensing program, which offers flexibility from an economic point of view.

The software provides management enhancement for a wide range of visualization applications, from advanced collaborative analytics for operating rooms, to control rooms where users can leverage capabilities to display content from multiple sources and deliver a spectacular viewing experience. Furthermore, the new extension HiperView LED by Hiperwall controls each pixel of the LED video wall by adapting the native resolution of the LED driver to the actual size of the viewing surface.
