NewTek debuts TriCaster TC1, its first end-to-end 4K IP production system, in Las Vegas

TriCaster TC1 allows you to produce an event or program in 4K UHD, 60p, 3G with 16 external inputs, IP capabilities, integrated Skype TX and hundreds of advanced features.

Newtek now offers the ability to produce live shows, shows, events and sporting events in true 4K UHD resolution, with support for native 2160p video at 60 frames per second. TriCaster TC1 has raised great expectations at NAB 2017 as it allows switching, streaming and recording video in 4K UHD without compromising the frame rate or the number of available inputs.

One of its great advantages is that it does not need additional units since it is enough to add the files with the two built-in video servers for automatic and on-demand playback. Includes auto-advance playlists, accurate instant replay, live-edited highlight videos, and more. With responsive playback controls, presets, real-time editing tools, selectable transitions and playlist effects, you have everything you need to make magic with your stored media.

The new TriCaster TC1 is a true all-in-one. With 36 source channels and 16 external inputs, you can easily create engaging content using any combination of supported video sources, such as 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and PTZ cameras, mobile devices, Skype TX video calls, computers, gaming systems, streaming media, video files, graphics, images, animations and more.

Skype TX

The new solution offers direct integration with Skype TX software. Skype TX, the studio-grade version of the popular app, enhances real-time interaction with high-quality video and balanced audio, delivering production-ready conversations, interviews, reports and more, regardless of the device the conversation partner owns.

Record and repeat

From storing the master shot in the content library, processing raw footage from cameras for post-production, to caching production extras and presentation materials for on-demand streaming, even capturing real-time highlight reels for instant replay, TriCaster TC1 can do the job of multiple professional teams without the extra expense.

Live streaming

TriCaster TC1 allows you to carry out live streaming to the new social platforms you want. Includes easy-to-use presets for Facebook Live, Microsoft Azure, Periscope, Twitch, YouTube Live and many more platforms. With two streaming encoders included, you can easily produce platform-specific content and expand your sponsorship and revenue opportunities.

On the audio side, this solution includes a software-based audio mixer with support for analog, digital and network audio, professional DSP, fader control, VU meters, talkback and 4x4x4 channel routing to four audio mix outputs.

On the other hand, a comprehensive macro automation system allows you to record, store, edit and automate custom settings and scripts. You can even run macros manually from any combination of supported control interfaces or configure TriCaster TC1 to perform actions automatically.

With three customizable multiviewers, configurable windows and different workspace layouts, trustworthy monitors for the operator, visual indicators, scopes... the operator can customize his TriCaster TC1 to create a custom multiviewer.

Finally, thanks to the native integration with NDI, NewTek's innovative Network Device Interface technology, TriCaster TC1 is associated with the most prolific IP-based workflow in the industry without the need for prior installation and connecting seamlessly with compatible products from hundreds of manufacturers and developers.

Collaboration with Vizrt

At NAB 2017, NewTek has launched the new NVG1, a real-time 4K graphics system with 3D capability designed for deep integration with the company's IP Series and the new TriCaster TC1 video production system. The product combines a powerful NewTek 1RU server platform and NDI IP video connectivity with Viz Trio/Viz Engine software to provide users with the best live graphics within the manufacturer's end-to-end native IP video workflows.

The NVG1 simplifies graphics operations by using NewTek's NDI (Network Device Interface) IP video standard to bi-directionally transfer video, audio, key, control and metadata over a single network cable over existing GigE infrastructures. The slim 1RU chassis and front panel design are the perfect complement to the NewTek IP Series, TriCaster TC1 and NewTek Connect conversion products.
