Jorge Sánchez Vicente, new secretary of the CMT
The Council of the Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) has agreed to the appointment of State Attorney Jorge Sánchez Vicente as the new secretary of the CMT. Jorge Sánchez replaces Ignacio Redondo Andreu, who has held that position since September 2007.

The secretary exercises leadership and coordination of the Commission Services, he is also the secretary of the Council and the other collegiate bodies of the CMT, to which he advises on all legal issues that are raised.
Sánchez Vicente has a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Diploma in Business Sciences from the San Pablo CEU University (Madrid). Since 2001 he has held various functions within the State Attorney's Office. For four years (October 2003 – October 2007) he has been a lawyer at the European Court of Justice (ECJ). In addition, he has been coordinator of the Legal Assistance Agreement with OMSA – MERCASA, an entity of the SEPI group, and of the Legal Assistance Agreement with the Telecommunications Market Commission on particular aspects of the regulator's actions in matters of law.
He is also a member of the faculty of the IE Law School Institute (Business Institute), a collaborating speaker at the Foundation for Research on Law and Business (FIDE) and a collaborator in the Practicum training classes of different universities in Barcelona, as well as a speaker in the delivery of Community Law courses to groups of lawyers from the Generalitat and Spanish magistrates and legal professionals from various Member States.
