Christie launches Nitro Solutions: digital luminaires with up to 20,000 lumens

With its motorized mobile devices, this modular series allows video projection of up to 20,000 ANSI lumens, creating high-brightness images, no matter the type of surface or location on which they are projected. In addition, using LED or xenon lighting heads, the system can reach 50,000 lumens.

These days Christie is presenting the new Nitro Solutions digital luminaires at PLASA 2010 in London. With its motorized mobile devices, this modular series allows video projection of up to 20,000 ANSI lumens, creating high-brightness images, no matter the type of surface or location on which they are projected. In addition, using LED or xenon lighting heads, the system can reach 50,000 lumens. Nitro Solutions can be installed at ground level or suspended from a truss structure, making it ideal for projection onto buildings, architectural lighting and cityscapes, temples, theme parks and live events such as concerts or theater performances.

Currently, none of our competitors exceed 10,000 lumens. The brightness of 20,000 lumens manages to cut through much of the ambient or unexpected light from other sources, ensuring a set of images of great luminous power and beauty.”

Christie Nitro Solutions offers two motorized mobile device options: a dual-arm mobile module for large video projectors between 12,000 and 20,000 ANSI lumens, and a single-arm mobile module for projectors from 5,700 to 15,000 ANSI lumens.

Christie Nitro Solutions' modular approach increases the effectiveness of the mobile module platform by allowing the user to deploy it using a video projector or spotlight.

Other features include DMX512 control and a quick locking clamping system that facilitates simple installation and disassembly.

Christie projectors don't just deliver images on flat surfaces. Many of the incredible video effects we saw at the Olympic Games or Shanghai Expo ceremonies are projected onto very irregular surfaces. Now, with Nitro Solutions digital luminaires and the help of a motorized platform, Christie projectors can deliver large format images and videos, brightness and intensity on virtually any surface.
