Intercom GreenGo

GreenGo Communications, a new brand specialized in robust and reliable intercom systems, subsidiary of the Dutch group ELC Lighting, specialized in high specification Ethernet and lighting data networks for the entertainment industry, has launched a new digital intercom system on the market.

It is based on a 100Mbit Ethernet network with Power over Ethernet (PoE) and offers a maximum of 250 communication groups, with capacity from 2 to 3000 users. The system does not require a central processor or dedicated network, as each station has a copy of all settings and operates over a powered Ethernet network.

GreenGo features many of the features of matrix intercom systems. In addition to providing core audio streaming functionality, GreenGo has light cueing, show audio monitoring, and text messaging capabilities in one system. It is also fully expandable, being able to integrate up to 3000 users, simply by adding more stations to the network. This innovative concept is based on the principle that each user station has an exact copy of all routing and settings information, which is typically centralized in a communications matrix. It is therefore a truly simple system whose most basic version would consist of two packs connected to the same Ethernet network with power via PoE.
