The new intercom system has 64 Artist mainframes and control panels from the 2100 and 3000 series. The connection between the intercom from a third party manufacturer and the Riedel system has been made via 4-wire.

RBC-TV, one of the leading financial channels in Russia, has expanded its intercom system with the Artist digital matrix of Riedel Communications. Additionally, it has deployed a RockNet digital audio network providing an advanced audio network between the different studios. The system includes RockNet 100 and RockNet 300 input and output modules as well as connection interfaces with the consoles of the different studios through RockNet MADI.

The new intercom system has 64 Artist mainframes and control panels from the 2100 and 3000 series. The connection between the intercom from a third party manufacturer and the Riedel system has been made via 4-wire. The Riedel Artist digital intercom matrix is a modular solution that allows it to be easily adapted to existing systems and the needs of each installation.

Artist client cards provide connectivity for different signal types such as audio or GPIOs. Artist arrays can easily be expanded to form systems with up to 1,024x1,024 non-blocking ports.

Mikhail Terezchenko, technical director of RBC-Tv, commented that "for our studio, choosing the Riedel intercom was due to the fact that it responds exactly to what we wanted and our needs. In this way, we have been able to combine the existing Drake system with the Riedel Artist mainframes. Two of these frames make up an integrated system."
