AEQ delivers the first XPEAK matrix-free intercom systems
After field tests with selected clients, AEQ has begun to deliver the first XPEAK systems and panels with applications in environments such as production companies, televisions, sporting events, theaters, concerts, security, theme parks...
XPEAK supports up to 28 terminals user interface in different formats: desktop, rack, wired beltpack, wireless beltpack, and PC application, which can be connected together with the greatest operational flexibility and without the need for a matrix.
Furthermore, this connection is simple even if the equipment is in different locations, giving them access to a WAN, or simply to the Internet. If a panel is configured to work remotely, when turned on, it will search and find the rest of the system's panels within the network, being ready to work in a few seconds. This makes it easier to set up the coordination of remote productions.
Its wired user terminals have Bluetooth and USB connections, supporting all types of headphones and micro-headphones with these connectivities and facilitating connection with smartphones and PCs.
Stationary terminals have 8 keys. The flasks, 4 keys. The keys are organized on two pages, doubling the number of speakers or groups of speakers that each panel can interact with.
Independently of the XPEAK system, these devices can work as user terminals in large matrix systems AEQ Conexia and Crossnet. They can also be integrated into the simple Party-Line AEQ Easynet systems.
The system is complemented by the interface XPEAK_IF, which provides analog, USB digital, and AES67/Dante AoIP inputs and outputs to coordinate with camera operators through their CCU (Control Camera Unit) and receive and provide audio through PCs, sound consoles and other devices.
Other operational advantages
- A terminal can work in different locations and subscribe to different virtual networks, to participate in different remote productions.
- The system can be expanded temporarily or permanently through the cloud.
- It has the same operational flexibility as an AEQ matrix system, working on a “peer to peer” basis, without a matrix.
- Supports 4-channel Party-Line operation to minimize setup work.
- Stationary panels can be connected as is most convenient, with an IP switch or in a “Daisy Chain”.
- Users connected to a panel can be coordinated while receiving audio from the production they are developing.
- Connecting Bluetooth with a smartphone or audio with a walkie-talkie system will allow for off-system coordination with remote users.
