Reshet Israel launches complete intercom system based on AEQ CrossNET compact matrix platform

AEQ-Kroma's new compact digital intercom system equips the central studios in Tel Aviv of this important private broadcaster.

In 2016 the Israeli company Reshet obtained the license to operate a new television channel nationally independent under the commercial name of Canal 13. Until that date, Reshet had been broadcasting together with other operators such as Channel 2 since 1978.

Channel 13 is a new television, with general content, with a strong commitment to local production, which offers more than 8 hours a day of live content from its new central studios in Tel Aviv.

Given that Canal 13's way of working is very dynamic, with numerous disconnections, own productions, satellites and external, the company's technical management opted for a compact, fully digital intercom system, with multiple future communications interfaces, and easy to expand considering the growth of the company in the coming years.

AEQ CrossNET Compact Array

AEQ supplies Canal 13 with a complete intercom system based on the compact matrix platform of AEQ CrossNET 104 with 32 multichannel ports over IP with Dante technology, TP8116 and EP8116 user panels allowing 16 or 32 operation keys as well as pages and memories, AEQ TH03 telephone hybrids for outside calls, and AEQ Netbox interfaces to move the signal through the studios over your IP network.

There are currently 5 sets of studios working, along with 4 technical controls, 5 post-production rooms, and an MCR, which use a CrossNET intercom system deployed at full capacity. Coinciding with the introduction of new programs on the broadcast grid, the platform will soon be expanded.

The entire intercom system has been installed and configured by the technical services of ABS Israel in collaboration with the technical department of AEQ Madrid, which remotely supervised and validated via the Internet the final programming and commissioning of this modern intercom system.
