Mediapro launches U-Beat, the new OTT e-Sports platform in Spanish
U-Beat, which will offer VoD and live content in formats designed for consumption on mobile phones, aspires to become a reference among e-Sports fans around the world, especially in Spain and Latin America.
Coinciding with the beginning of Barcelona World Games, which takes place until December 2 at Fira Gran Vía, Mediapro has presented U-Beat, are new e-Sports OTT platform in Spanish which will offer VoD and live content and has been designed for consumption on different mobile devices.
Tacho Benedict, managing partner of Mediapro, has pointed out that "e-Sports are a strategic line for the Mediapro group and today's launch of U-Beat is a significant step in this regard, since it allows us to be present throughout the value chain."

U-Beat aspires to become a reference among e-Sports fans around the world, with more than 3,000 hours of competitions, information, current events and 100% e-Sports entertainment, as well as exclusive content produced in-house with the quality seal of Mediapro, one of the world's leading audiovisual groups.
With a own production equipment, U-Beat will exclusively offer competitions and content from the most popular video games such as League of Legends, Clash Royale, Fortnite, CSGO y Call of Duty; competitions and events produced by the LVP; and the most relevant international competitions. All of this commented and analyzed by the most important casters in Spanish, such as Ibai Llanos, Ulises Prieto or BarbeQ.
U-Beat will also be a channel with the best live competitions and e-Sports news for distribution on conventional platforms. The channel has begun its broadcasts in Spain through the Orange platform and its inclusion in other platforms at a national and international level with news and small entertainment formats is being negotiated.

With the launch of U-Beat, Mediapro consolidates its strategic commitment to the video game and e-Sports sector, after the Fandroid and The Breach Studios integration, achieving activity in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru and the United Kingdom of more than 20 million unique users and 75% of the global Spanish-speaking audience.

VoD and pay channel
Starting next December 15, U-Beat will offer eSports fans more than 3,000 hours of competitions, information, current affairs and entertainment formats, content that will be complemented by the best casters - expert game commentators -, analysts and talents. This offer can be consumed when, where and in the format desired by the viewer, through two options with personalized content.
On the one hand, the VOD content platform will offer content designed for direct consumption on mobile devices, made up of short videos (three to five minutes long) with language adapted to a very specific target: young people looking for quality content segmented according to their interests.
A 24/7 pay channel will also be launched with live competitions, broadcast of full games from the most prominent national and international leagues, the most important events and all the latest news in the sector. In addition, e-sports fans will be able to access content from the official competition, the Orange Super League, edited and cast by the main national casters. You will also find informative and entertainment formats linked to eSports: daily news, highlights, reports, interviews, challenges, short pieces, contests, spaces designed to show what the LVP is like from the inside and documentaries recorded ad hoc that in some cases will star the leading faces of the main teams in the competitions.
Mediaset España will market U-Beat advertising
Mediaset España has reached an agreement with Mediapro for the marketing of U-BEAT, the new e-Sports platform and channel created by the production company and the Professional Video Game League (LVP).
In this way, Publiespaña, the company's advertising subsidiary, will be in charge of the commercial exploitation of both the digital VOD content platform and the television channel that U-Beat will have, which was created with the aim of being an international benchmark in eSports and gaming content, two of the entertainment sectors with the greatest entertainment potential.
