Mediapro launches a channel dedicated to Formula 1 in Latin America
The new signal will offer, starting March 1, the entire competition and the greatest coverage of Formula 1 including exclusive content and interactive features.
Mediapro, owner of the Formula 1 television rights for Latin America (except Brazil), has announced the launch of the F1 Latin American channel, which will offer all the excitement surrounding motor racing.
The channel will be available on paid platforms in all countries starting March 1. Spectators will have the best window to follow the entire competition linked to the world of motorsports and in the highest quality.
Everything that happens in the main motorsport categories, along with exclusive content, will be on this new channel with 20 hours of live broadcasts every weekend, including the F1, GP2 and GP3 grand prix (training, qualifying and races), the pre- and post-grand prix. This is accompanied by analysis, exclusive interviews with the main protagonists, in-depth reports on teams and drivers. In addition, there will also be the most memorable races in the history of F1.
The new channel, produced by Mediapro, will pay special attention to Latin American drivers such as Pastor Maldonado, Sergio Pérez, Esteban Gutiérrez and Julián Leal. A team of more than 150 people will travel the world to offer the excitement of the grand prix every weekend, coordinated by Liborio García, editor of F1 Latin America, a TV professional with more than 20 years of experience who will be accompanied by journalists Diego Mejía, Víctor Seara and Nira Juanco.
During the grand prix, spectators will also be able to enjoy an interactive mosaic to follow the competition from different angles and immersed in the universe of a circuit. Statistics will be offered on times, race positions, cameras inside the vehicles and replays of the best moments.
As a novelty, you can also follow the grand prizes and all the F1 Latin America programming how, when and where you want with the SecondScreen App, available for all devices. F1 LATIN AMERICA users will not only see everything and know everything about F1, they will also be able to follow the race from the point of view they want thanks to the OTT platform that will allow each viewer to choose the general plan of the circuit or follow the race from the cameras installed in the drivers' helmets, receiving information directly from them to experience the race as if they were there. F1 will also be experienced on social networks and viewers will have the opportunity to participate and interact in the different programs and broadcasts from their homes.
