The British broadcaster has confirmed that its main channel BBC One HD will be available from next November 3 through Astra, thus broadcasting its signal in high definition on DTT, Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media.
BBC One HD will thus join the BBC HD channel that broadcasts in high definition the highlights of BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Four programming.
The majority of BBC One prime-time programs will be available in native HD at launch and, in 2012, the vast majority of all titles on BBC One's slate are expected to be in high definition.
Among other broadcasts, viewers who follow BBC One HD will be able to watch the Moto GP tests in high definition.
