Meyer Sound's line of EXP (formerly known as Cinema Experience) cinema solutions will now be led by a new development, sales, marketing and technical support team. Steve Shurtz will be the new chief technology officer, Mauricio Saint Martin will oversee global sales and Brian Long will be design manager for film and live sound. The former CEO of Meyer Sound in Germany, Jim Sides, will be the new EXP Business Development Director.

Helen Meyer, co-founder and vice-president of Meyer Sound, has pointed out that these changes in personnel will allow us to work more closely and effectively with the film industry and will also allow Steve, Jim, Mauricio and Brian to focus their forces on forming a strategic team. Each of them has been exceptional in their work at Meyer Sound and they are well qualified to manage our expansion into the film market."

In his position as Chief Technology Officer, Steve Shurtz will collaborate with Meyer Sound's Research and Development department in the development and application of new products alongside audio designers, mixing engineers, studios and post-production companies to identify new business opportunities. Shurtz and Brian Long will represent Meyer Sound in its efforts to advance film technology research, as well as establishing working relationships through organizations such as SMPTE and CineGrid.

Brian Long will focus on supporting customers in the design and implementation of cinema systems and will spearhead technical training programs. Long has played an instrumental role in a number of Meyer Sound's film projects around the world with facilities such as Francis Ford Coppola's De Lane Lea and American Zoetrope studios, as well as the movie theaters at the Solaris Centre in Tallinn, Estonia and Cinetopia in Portland, Oregon.

Mauricio Saint Martin will aim to build a global distribution network for EXP, combining his position as Sales Director for the Middle East, India and North Africa.

Por último, Jim Sides, que cuenta con el aval de haber duplicado los ingresos por ventas en Alemania y Escandinavia, dirigirá las ventas estratégicas para los productos de cine de Meyer Sound dentro de Estados Unidos.
