Kronomav, after the success of the recent realization of the Barcelona-Madrid in 3D, once again deployed its technology for the stereoscopic realization of last Sunday's match between Barça and Málaga, corresponding to the Spanish first division league.
On this occasion, 12 Grass Valley LDK 8000 cameras were used to obtain six stereoscopic signals, which were processed in real time in the 3D mobile unit owned by Medialuso.
The new automatic zoom calibration, implemented in the new version of the SIP (stereo image processor) developed by Kronomav, was tested for the first time, facilitating the adjustment tasks of the pairs of cameras.
All the 3D technology used in both football matches is developed entirely by the engineering department of Kronomav (a pioneering Spanish company in stereoscopy), thanks to the development agreement signed with Medialuso, which has resulted in the first 3D mobile unit on the Iberian Peninsula, owned by the latter.
On big screen
The Barcelona-Málaga match could be seen on a giant screen at the Málaga Fair and Congress Palace in an event organized by Media Sports Marketing.
The signal was received via satellite in side-by-side format and projected with a NEC 3200SC onto an 80 m² screen with Dolby 5.1 sound.
For stereoscopic viewing, the more than 300 guests at the event wore XpanD active glasses.
