'Juan of the Dead' shoots with RED Mysterium

The feature film directed by Cuban director Alejandro Brugués, and co-produced by La Zanfoña Producciones y Producciones de la 5ta Avenida, is shot with two RED Mysterium X with Ultraprime optics supplied by Ovide BS.

At the end of the year, the screens of half the world will be filled with zombies, so fashionable lately, in this case in Havana, thanks to the imagination of the Cuban writer and director Alejandro Brugués and his film John of the dead.

After eight weeks of filming in the Cuban capital with two RED Mysterium X with Ultraprime optics, supplied by Ovide BS, the feature film is now in post-production.

Among the production team, the direction of photography stands out, led by Carles Gusi, who has also filmed I give you my eyes o Cell 211, among others and the Cuban Derubín Jácome in charge of the art direction.

The film, which will bring us closer to a genre rarely present in Cuban film production, is a horror comedy in which a legion of zombies invades Havana, it is a co-production between the Spanish production company LaZanfoña Producciones, and the Cuban production company Producciones de la 5ta Avenida.

The story tells how panic takes over people before the arrival of zombies to the city and the appearance of Juan, who for a small price is in charge of eliminating the infected relatives. The cast of actors includes Alexis Díaz de Villegas who plays Juan, hero and protagonist, Andros Perugorría and Andrea Duro, among others.
