Sono brings to life the new set of 'Operación Triunfo 2011'
Telecinco and Gestmusic have launched a new logo, styling, tune and an impressive set design for the 2011 edition of Operación Triunfo. Sono has intervened in its design with special emphasis on Barco technology with a strong presence of LEDs to create lighting and audiovisual effects.
Produced by Telecinco in collaboration with Gestmusic, Operation Triumph has returned with a completely renewed spirit and adapted to the new times, but with the premise of returning to the original essence of one of the most revolutionary formats in the history of television, ten years after its premiere in Spain.
A completely renewed teaching staff; modernized logo, styling, set design and tune; Changes in the mechanics of the galas and a new final prize for the winner constitute the main novelties of the new edition of the popular musical competition.
For their spectacular scenography, Gestmusic and Telecinco have trusted Sono to supply numerous audiovisual equipment, integrated into the scenography, for the projection of images and video textures.
Sono covered an area of 200m² as a stage background with flexible structures adapted to the space with semi-transparent LEDs, in the main part of which there are 6 columns of mobile LEDs measuring 5.4 x 0.9m (Barco DLite7 screen, 14mm pixels per inch).
In the center of the set we can see a 5 meter diameter platform in which LEDs have been integrated into the floor under the transparent tiles and whose central part is mechanized and allows it to be raised. Its technology is based on Barco's Mipix development on a custom-made structure.
In the area where the contestants are, there are 50 3m-high vertical strips of LEDs installed on the set (Mistrips Barco, 13.2mm pixels per inch).
Behind the jury has been installed a video wall of 18 CRT Barco monitors with Vector Electrosonic multi-screen electronics that create a curious 'retro' effect in the setting.
Finally, in the upper part of the set we find two more LED screens, which serve as a reference for the audience and the contestants (ILite6XP Barco with 6mm per inch). The stage background is made up of Barco's Helix P1 technology on custom-made flexible structures (150mm pixels/inch).
