PlayBox Multi-Channel Solutions in Las Vegas

PlayBox has applied a multichannel configuration to three product ranges: AirBox (broadcast), CaptureBox (ingestion) and TitleBox (graphics). These can now receive or provide up to four channels of SD or two channels of HD, as well as audio, in an integrated system in a single box.

PlayBox will show at NAB 2011 its new solutions for multichannel broadcasting in a single box. Unlike other alternatives, PlayBox Technology's all-in-one multichannel solution allows you to run multiple channels by taking advantage of the latest advances in IT hardware, reducing infrastructure and operational costs. The multichannel configuration has been applied to three product ranges: AirBox (broadcast), CaptureBox (ingestion) and TitleBox (graphics). These can receive or provide up to four channels of SD or two channels of HD, as well as audio, in an integrated system in a single box.

In Las Vegas Playbox will also show TimeShiftBox with support for Dolby Digital audio and VANC auxiliary data.

TimeShiftBox HD, which complements TimeShiftBox SD, is a complete all-in-one solution that provides the ability to program delays from one minute to a week or more, meeting all program delay time requirements. TimeShiftBox HD also includes logo insertion as a standard. As an option, TitleBox can be added to provide interactive CG of text and graphics during delayed playback.

TimeShiftBox HD is available as a complete turnkey single-channel or multi-channel HD SDI/SD SDI solution. Its menu offers simple operation, so time delays are easy to set up and use. Other functions are fully automated and do not require user intervention. It also supports all integrated audio types, including Dolby Digital and Dolby E, as well as any VANC data, preserving it and including it in the delayed program output.
