Sgi shows its latest offerings in storage and computing

Sgi has presented its advanced storage and computing solutions for the media and entertainment sector at NAB, including for the first time the exhibition of the new integrated data archiving solution ArcFiniti.

The company has focused its attention on storage and computing technologies, including ArcFiniti, a fully integrated data archiving solution accessible over network connections for long-term data protection. Among the storage software and hardware solutions that the company has introduced is the new InfiniteStorage 5000 (IS5000), a high-density 60-bay 6GB SAS RAID array in a 4U format that provides high density for mid-sized storage workflows. This solution, available this month, will complement the InfiniteStorage line of platforms, layered virtualization and shared file system solutions.

Additionally, Sgi has showcased its innovative line of server technologies that are at the core of some of the world's largest cloud computing data centers.
