ZS17x5.5: new half-inch lenses from Fujinon

Fujinon is showing off a new lens for the half-inch format. The new Exceed series of lenses, with a good price-quality ratio and many features, has also seen the light at this NAB.

Fujinon is showing off a new lens for the half-inch format. The new ZS17x5.5 lens for half-inch format cameras is part of Fujinon's Select series of high-end ENG-Style lenses. This lens will be available in a Berm or Berd version, with an internal range expander, servo zoom and manual or servo focus. The Select series has emerged from the popular HA line of Premier Series 2/3-inch high-definition lenses.

The new Exceed series of lenses with a good quality-price ratio and many features has also seen the light at this NAB. The new series includes half-inch XS20sx6.3BRM lenses and 2/3-inch XA20x8.5BMD lenses for video conferencing applications and pan and tilt systems. It will be at this year's NAB Show where these lenses can be seen for the first time. Also included in the new Exceed family are the 2/3-inch XA range, half-inch XS line and the XT line of 1/3-inch lenses.

The features of the Exceed lenses are: Quick Zoom, Cruise Zoom and a digital control system that improves the performance of its zoom lenses. With Quick Zoom, the cameraman will be able to capture the telephoto position to check the focus simply by pressing a button. When you press the Cruise Zoom button, the button sets the zoom speed to the existing pace.

The S17x6.6BMD ENG lenses are also being introduced. The S17x6.6BMD is a motorized version of the S17x6.6BRM ENG lens and is ideal for use with pan and tilt remote control systems.
