Now, Viewsat is using the Remote Program Monitoring System (RPM) Volicon Observer for the “Out of Footprint” monitoring of its channels in the markets of North Africa and the Middle East.
Now, instead of trusting the alerts of the local partners, Viewsat uses Observer RPM to monitor a total of 19 different channels issued via satellite, which allows a quick response to any problem of audio or video quality.
Awaes Jaswal, CEO of Viewsat, has indicated that “with characteristics that include automatic channel exploration, and the configuiration of video and audio cut parameters, full screen visualization, errors record, and remote remote, observe RPM has provided us with the tools we needed to supervise our services with greater effectiveness and give a more proactive approach to the maintenance of quality maintenance of the broadcast.
Observe RPM analyzes the channels all day and automatically sending signal integrity tests, issuing alerts (via email and snmp), and capturing problematic content when the channels do not fit the predefined limits. You can also control the linear video content or audio errors, such as subtitles, abnormal audio levels and static or black screen.
And as Mike Asebrook, senior product marketing director of Volicon, has assured, "this system now allows Viewsat to control its services much more proactive and profitable, with local personnel to evaluate the video according to the company's own parameters."
