CNBC opens studio in London
CNBC has begun broadcasting from its redesigned London studio designed to encourage interactivity for guests and journalists with spectacular graphics on a 15-meter video wall, one of the largest in the EMEA region.
A Barco curved rear-projection LED screen presides over the new CNBC studio in London from which programs such as Squawkbox.
On this video wall and other LED screens distributed throughout the new studio, the drivers of the spaces can interact with the graphics showing real-time data from the main stock markets and the Stoxx 600.
The studio, which is 40% larger than the one used so far by CNBC, has four overhead cameras and two on wall guides that allow a 270-degree view of the set, offering an interesting perspective. All ten cameras are robotic.
As for lighting, Litepanels LED panels have been integrated that will reduce the studio's electrical consumption by up to 89%.
