Engel launches a hybrid receiver that combines the content it receives via antenna (all DTT channels including HD) and those from the Internet, thus taking a new step towards hybrid television in this case from a device not integrated into the television itself.
Engel Axil has launched the brand's first HbbTV receiver on the market, designed as an alternative in connected television environments. The lack of Internet access for many latest generation televisions is forcing manufacturers to offer an alternative that facilitates not only access, but also an adequate interface and applications specially designed to complete the television offering.
The new Engel EN2000 thus works under the HbbTv (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) standard, offering all the content available on the Internet.
HbbTv is a pan-European initiative already well developed in Germany, and in the implementation phase in England, France and now also in Spain.
