Vértice will attend the regional TV outsourcing contests

Regarding the controversy over subsidies received by Spanish cinema, Irisarri assured that the accusations of being a subsidized industry are based on “a myth” without foundation, because any other sector receives much greater public aid.

Irisarri assured that while Spanish cinema receives subsidies worth about 100 million euros annually, "any other sector receives not double, but multiplied by 'n'."

In his opinion, cinema “is a cultural industry like the rest that is also supported”, but, in any case, its efficiency will not be determined by financing from public coffers.

”It will come from the incentive for the size of the companies, to be able to participate in public television at the level of management and content and to create a stronger industry with concrete support for internationalization,” he stated.

Asked about the “Sinde Law,” he maintained that it is not the solution, but he believed that it “will add” to the fight against piracy, which has done “brutal damage” to the audiovisual sector. “It is better to have this law than not to have it,” he said.

Regional outsourcing

After his participation in the Forum, in an interview given to the Advertising Program, José María Irisarri has admitted the need to “make large groups” capable of competing abroad, announcing that he will go to the seven contests broadcast on regional television.
Regarding the pre-bankruptcy of creditors announced by Ezentis, former Avanzit and reference partner with 28.7% of Vértice, Irisarri has admitted that these situations “always affect something.”
