Vislink acquires Gigawave for $6 million
Vislink has just acquired the entire capital of Gigawave in an operation valued at 3.7 million pounds (six million dollars). The purchase of Gigawave will allow Vislink to expand its capabilities in terms of engineering, product portfolio and geographical reach.

Based in Colchester-Essex (United Kingdom), Gigawave is a private company until now held by individual shareholders that employs 87 professionals. Both Vislink and Gigawage are specialized in solutions for microwave links and antennas for the broadcast market, with their links being very popular in sports broadcasts for cameras and vehicles.
The purchase of Gigawave will allow Vislink to expand its capabilities in terms of engineering, product portfolio and geographical reach.
Gigawave founder and former managing director Henry Barczynski will take over management of MKT reporting to president and CEO John Hawkins.
In the last financial year, Gigawave achieved sales of 12,530,000 pounds (20.3 million dollars) and a pre-tax loss of 0.97 million pounds (1.6 million dollars). As of April 30, Gigawave had audited gross assets of £5.3 million ($8.3 million), generating sales of over £10 million ($16.4 million).
As part of the operation, an initial cash amount of 1.75 million pounds (2.84 million dollars) was already paid on June 2, with the economic transaction expected to be completed in the next two years.
