Vsn integrates VsnMulticom with the Flumotion Web TV system on Barcelona TV

Vsn takes another step in the integration of processes from its VsnMulticom automation system, achieving the automatic synchronization of its tool with the Flumotion Web TV system for the a la carte and Live service of Barcelona TV (BTV).

The public television of the city of Barcelona, ​​Barcelona Televisió (BTV), has recently updated its broadcast automation system with Vsn. The channel, which already managed its broadcasts with VsnMulticom, required real-time synchronization of said tool with the publishing system for Flumotion's video on demand and Web Live service.

The integration of both technologies, carried out by Vsn, contemplates two processes: integration with the video on demand service and integration with the Web TV Live service. VsnMulticom digitizes in high quality format the content that must be sent to the video on demand service right at the moment it is broadcast on television. Said content is processed in real time to compact the segments, embed the chain's logo, attach the associated metadata and send it to the Web service repository, becoming available for consumption a few minutes after being broadcast.
On the other hand, VsnMulticom identifies the content with permissions for Web broadcasting and communicates to the streaming platform the times in which they are going to be broadcast, providing alternative material for those time slots lacking content with said permissions. All this information is updated in real time to adjust programming changes during the broadcast.

The VsnMulticom automation system allows you to control, among other solutions, servers from Omneon, Seachange, EVS, Grass Valley, Vector...; matrices and mixers from Pesa, Evertz, Miranda, Kramer,…; graphics systems from Orad, Vizrt and Chyron; and Tarsys MAM solutions from Tedial and Ardendo.
