Rimage and Silicon Philosophies, exclusive European distributor of the Cinema Craft HD Encoder, will showcase 3D archive images made in HD with Blu-ray discs.

High-speed Blu-ray creation truly presents a challenge for post-production. Rimage and Silicon Philosophies, exclusive European distributor of the Cinema Craft HD Encoder, will showcase 3D archival footage made in HD with Blu-ray discs at their booth at IBC, taking place in Amsterdam from September 8 to 13, 2011.

Those visiting the show will have the opportunity to be filmed in HD 3D, with encoded archive footage that is stored directly and fully automated on a Blu-ray Disc with a high-quality, full-color custom image.

Time is money, particularly in the film, home entertainment and video gaming sectors, as data-rich HD 3D products must come to market quickly and at competitive prices. Post-production video delivery programs have had to adjust to meet this demand, which requires fully automated digital editing solutions, with integrated, effective and efficient workflow. Rimage has responded to this demand with its 5400N professional series: a compact, all-in-one solution specifically designed for fast and easy full-color on-demand production of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

“The Rimage 5400N Professional Series offers an entry point to on-demand disc publishing, allowing individual users or workgroups to easily create discs while sending the order to their printers,” said Jürgen Sattelmayer, EMEA Director of Vertical Business at Rimage Europe GMBH. “The 5400N allows digital publishers to take advantage of the power of a hands-free smart network application with professional print performance,” he added.

In addition to introducing 3D Blu-ray disc for digital content creation, Rimage will also showcase workflow archiving solutions. Rimage solutions make it easy to efficiently and reliably store video files for later archiving and post-production on Blu-ray discs, including custom metadata and proxy clips for previewing.

Additionally, Rimage demonstrates how digital stock images can be easily integrated into existing content management systems with watchfolders or the Rimage software development kit (SDK). If necessary digital marking and copy protection can be added to the stored data.
