Azteca has put on the air the first reality show in Mexico supported by 3D technology.
Alberto Santini, general director of Azteca Trece and Azteca Novelas, commented that they hope to become “the spearhead of technology in television.” "Having 3D on a network is strong, it is going ahead and the company and those of us who work in it for the public deserve it. I know that other networks are implementing it, but they have not launched it yet, but television is about taking risks," added the executive.
Although a smaller percentage of the 120 million Mexicans have a device to watch 3D programming, those who do not have a stereoscopic screen are watching the show The Academy in a traditional way.
