Panorama OB selects EVS for a million-dollar contract to supply the technology that will be integrated into a dozen mobile units.

The Russian company Panorama OB, until now Ano Sports, has selected EVS for a million-dollar contract to supply production server technology and generation of associated content and management of high-definition solutions.

Panorama is the largest Russian services company created in December 2009 by Channel One, VGTRK, NTV and RIA News. Sony Professional Europe has been in charge of integrating its new mobile units relying on EVS technology.

The new fleet will be made up of 12 units of different sizes ranging from 10 to 24 cameras, and include best-in-class media broadcast technologies.

Panorama's choice of EVS servers and live broadcast controllers as a standard solution ensures extreme reliability combined with architecture geared towards critical live broadcasts.

Furthermore, EVS is a single supplier that guarantees high acceptance of its solutions by broadcast specialists and advanced operators. The complete solution includes a wide range of products including the new EVS XT3 production servers and XF2 removable storage systems, as well as the IPDirector advanced production content manager.

As part of the agreement, EVS will also train more than 1,500 operators in Russia, creating a large community of operators in that region of the world.
