Ship equips the giant screen at Millennium Point in the United Kingdom

The giant screen at Birmingham's Millennium Point benefits from Barco's large format projection technology becoming the largest 3D screen in the UK.

Barco has announced that D3D Cine Company has installed a Barco large-format projection system on the giant screen at Millennium Point in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The installation consisting of two Barco 4K DLP Cinema projectors is part of the remodeling of the Millennium Point IMAX theater.

For the inauguration on October 24, the new film was projected in 3D The Adventures of Tintin.

After the transformation from IMAX to digital, this theater has the largest 3D digital cinema giant screen in the United Kingdom. Equipped with Dolby Digital 3D technology, the new system can project a wide selection of 2D and 3D films as well as documentaries, in addition to a wider range of content, including live music and sporting events.
