Atomos updates Samurai and Ninja recorders
Atomos updates the firmware for the Samurai, with new features, and releases a downgrade for the Ninja due to a data corruption issue.
atoms has updated the firmware of the Samurai, a portable touchscreen recorder that captures video directly in Apple ProRes format from any camera with HD-SDI output to 2.5 hard drives. The new firmware for Atomos Samurai, v.2.61, enables the function of starting and stopping recording of the recorder from the camera itself (some require settings to enable the function).
On the other hand, due to an error in firmware 2.02, Atomos has made a downgrade available to users of the external HDMI video recorder, Ninja, since data corruption has been detected that could jeopardize the recording.
