Atomos floods the RAI Convention Center with its Ninja Assassin

IBC 2015 has experienced a real invasion by the new Ninja Assassin recorders from atoms. This lighter, more affordable version of the popular Shogun offers 4K monitoring, recording, playback and editing for DSLR cameras.

More and more cameras are being introduced with 4K technology, and Atomos is addressing that line of new cameras with the Ninja Assassin. Cameras such as the Sony a7S, a7R II, Canon XC-10 or Panasonic GH4 fit perfectly with the new Atomos solution. Thanks to Assassin, users can overcome the disadvantages of some DSLRs such as MPEG/h.264 compressed recording, 4:2:0 color compression, maximum recording times or a display of just 3 inches.

Ninja Assassin offers 325ppi monitoring on a 7-inch screen. It has the same screen size, resolution and range as its “brother” Shogun. Features include direct recording in lossless editing formats, no recording time limitation, anamorphic decompression, monitoring tools (e.g. focus peaking, 1:1/2:1 zoom, false color, waveform/vectorscope and zebra monitors), time rewind with Pre-Roll cache recording (2-3 seconds for 4K), video time lapse and others.
