VSN will present its new features at CABSAT 2012
VSN will show new versions of all its solutions, encompassed in its new “Spider” architecture for operations with remote and distributed work environments, cloud computing, multi-platform distribution and perfect integration between multiple areas.
VSN will participate in the next edition of the CABSAT fair, which will take place from February 28 to March 1 in Dubai. Promoting a new generation of broadcast software solutions, the company will showcase new versions of its products in the areas of news production, content management and distribution, and advanced graphics systems. All the news will be available at stand S1-G21.
Included in the new Spider platform, the new VSN flow manager allows complete customization of the different workflows that a channel may have, being able to generate completely automated production operations. Its transparent integration with VSNIPTransfer to work in distributed environments (WAN), and the combination of Web architecture with Windows and Mac OS platforms generate a powerful distributed and multiplatform ecosystem for news production and content management and distribution.
The new features of VSNNews include integration with social networks (Twitter and Facebook) and SOA interface with the MAM and Archive system. In this new VSN architecture, most services are centralized and managed by workers, so the system is completely scalable, regardless of its size and the number of high or low resolution editing licenses.
The VSNWires module allows the collection, transcoding and registration in the MAM database of different external news agencies, content providers and ENGs. The tool filters and formats all the metadata of these agencies, allowing journalists to see any news in real time and can drag and drop what they want to the text or video of the list. The video (if it exists) is transcoded to the main format supported by the selected editors.
Avid Compatibility
Added to the list of new features is the content contribution tool, VSNIPTransfer, now also available on Mac Os. The solution can be integrated with Avid shared editing environments. Avid editors are also supported working alone, and VSN's MAM module can be integrated with the NRCS, iNews system.
The new version 5.0 of VSNCG+ will also be available for demonstration at the fair. The new, modernized platform for advanced graphics offers a much more powerful user interface, with search filters, unlimited ability to undo changes, and floating window layout. It is also compatible with multicore processors and an expanded hardware offering, and offers native 32/64-bit support.
