Thomson Broadcast will show its most efficient solutions at CABSAT 2012
At CABSAT 2012, Thomson Broadcast will showcase its full line of efficient and reliable power solutions for the cost-effective deployment of ground transportation networks.
Among the novelties that Thomson Broadcast Presented at CABSAT 2012 highlights the Plus Futhura television transmitter that takes advantage of advanced modulation technology to achieve high energy efficiency of up to 35 percent while ensuring foolproof reliability. This new technology introduces sophisticated modulation along with the latest generation of emitters to offer great savings.
We will also see at CABSAT the line of Elite 100 GreenPower transmitters whose main feature is low OPEX in initial digital deployments or to expand coverage in conjunction with the high-power GreenPower Elite 1000 transmitters. The Elite 100 GreenPower is a flexible and plug-and-play solution that adapts to satisfy any field requirement.
As for the GreenPower Elite 1000 UHF transmitter, it has 50-V LDMOS technology and an output power of up to 9.6 kW in DVB per unit, with energy consumption savings of up to 15 percent compared to the previous series.
Thomson will also exhibit the exciter for DVB-T/T2, ready to migrate at any time to the second generation of this digital standard. It integrates SNMP and a Web server that facilitate full control of the equipment from anywhere.
For local services, Thomson proposes the concept of FM rebroadcasting with DRM. Based on DRM technology, with this equipment broadcasters have all the technical means at their disposal and no longer depend on third parties to distribute low-power programs with FM/AM transmitters. Compared to the bandwidth of a satellite transponder, shortwave DRM transmission is significantly lower in cost.
