Mediaset Spain premieres this Wednesday The Escape, one of Telecinco's main fiction bets for 2012 whose production has been in the hands of Bocaboca Producciones.
The new production tells a love story that takes a couple on an adventure in which they must put their lives at risk to escape from a maximum security prison located on an old oil platform in the middle of the ocean.
The Escape It was recorded on a set on the outskirts of Madrid with an area of more than 3,000 square meters in which the scenes of the prison that houses the old oil platform have been recreated in great detail: punishment cells, patio, dining room, showers, galleries, common rooms and all the ducts through which the prisoners will try to escape.
The technical team of The Escape It is first class, as could not be less in such a complex project. Vicente Peñarrocha, Antonio Hernández and Koldo Serra have participated in the direction.
In charge of photography has been Javier Salmones (Captain Trueno, Sofia, Tarancón…) involving two units in the production with two ARRI Alexa cameras each, supplied by Videoreport (Grupo Vértice).
The claustrophobic sets, as well as the detailed model used for the exterior shots, are the work of Benjamín Fernández, whose art is common in national and international films, having worked with directors of the stature of Ridley Scott or Alejandro Amenábar.
All post-production, both in grading and in the numerous special effects, has been carried out at Telson, with the Walltrack studio assuming the audio work.
Bina Daileger, a frequent collaborator of Pedro Almodóvar and Alejandro González Iñárritu, has been in charge of the costume design.
The artistic team of The Escape It is headed by Aitor Luna, María Valverde, Asier Etxeandía, Marian Álvarez, María Vázquez, Jennifer Rope and Maru Valdivieso.
