The Cineteca de Matadero-Madrid entrusts Vitelsa with its projection rooms
Vitelsa configures and puts into operation the audiovisual equipment of the two rooms and control cabin of the new Cineteca de Matadero Madrid, a cultural complex promoted by the City Council of the capital dedicated almost exclusively to non-fiction cinema.
Matadero Madrid, located in the capital's old municipal slaughterhouse, is being transformed into a new center for contemporary creation, participatory artistic training and dialogue between the arts.
Promoted by the Madrid City Council in collaboration with other public and private entities, it is located in one of the most significant enclaves of Madrid's industrial architecture at the beginning of the 20th century and is projected as the largest center for contemporary creation in Madrid and one of the most prominent international spaces dedicated to current creation.
Within the framework of this creative space is the new Cineteca, the first cultural space dedicated almost exclusively to the documentary genre and which aims to become a national and international reference for professionals in the audiovisual medium.
To launch this space, the Madrid City Council has trusted Vitelsa, which has configured and launched the audiovisual equipment of the two rooms and control cabin of the Cineteca.
The main room or Azcona Room, named in honor of the famous Riojan screenwriter, has a capacity of 239 seats and has become a space for disseminating the work of creators from the Spanish film and television sector.
In the main room, Vitelsa has installed a high-definition cinema server, also capable of broadcasting 3D content. State-of-the-art equipment from Crown and JBL has also been installed for the high fidelity sound system of the room, integrated with a powerful Dolby audio processor to provide greater spectacularity to the sound. A set of wireless microphones has been connected to this audio system that allows presentations, debates, conferences, etc.
The other screening space at the Cineteca is Room B, which is multi-purpose and has a capacity of 100 people to accommodate previews, extraordinary screenings and presentations. A high-brightness Full HD projector has been installed in this room, combined with a JBL self-powered portable sound system, which allows the projections to be moved if necessary to other adjacent spaces and even to the Cineteca Patio, where outdoor events can be held.
For the management of both rooms, the control cabin has been designed and equipped, where an advanced audio-video matrix allows controlling the digital video input from the different sources (cinema server, Blu-ray players, DVD...), as well as the control of the audio and microphone systems present in the rooms. All this equipment has been housed in racks and feeds the technical furniture where the monitors and production and projection stations are arranged.
