Clear-Com has unveiled at BVE 2012 in London its new Concert for Newsroom solution designed to be integrated with newsroom applications, such as the Associated Press ENPS system. It allows AP newsroom staff who are using new ENPS applications to communicate with other colleagues from various newsrooms who also have access to Concert for Newsroom quickly, easily and at an affordable price.
Ideal for SNG applications, Concert for Newsroom will also help stressed news-chasing editors communicate with their editors, producers and other production team members with a simple mouse click. To communicate with Concert, users simply have to scroll through their contacts and click on the indicated name or on an icon that starts a call or chat session simultaneously. In those cases where several people are participating in a conference about a news story, the user can choose multiple contacts to take part in the conversation, or members can double-click a session link and join the call, all while continuing to work on other ENPS news stories. Users will be able to instantly see if other ENPS participants are available for a call or text, saving valuable time when delivery time looms.
Patrick Menard, Product Manager for Concert at Clear-Com, said: “Concert has undoubtedly defined Intercom over IP with its ability to seamlessly integrate with traditional intercom systems and external audio interfaces over standardized IP networks, making it the ideal tool for newsrooms and mobile units around the world.”
Concert for Newsroom can be easily interfaced with external audio systems, including partyline systems, paging systems, program ingest and other matrix systems using a four-wire interface over a standardized IP network, providing a seamless communications network.
This new solution is compatible with Windows 7 and XP.
