VSN desvela en IBC 2014 la nueva interfaz de VSNExplorer, su solución de PAM, MAM & BPM

VSN presents in this IBC the new user interface of its MAM VSNExplorer, which improves the user experience and the operation of the system. The PAM module, aimed at production environments, and VSNLivecom, studio playout software, are also protagonists at the Spanish company's stand.

VSNExplorer, PAM, MAM and BPM solution from VSN, arrives in Amsterdam with a major redesign of its appearance. The new interface, more modern and attractive, seeks to further improve the usability of the system and create a user experience in which media management is as efficient as possible.

Also within the Content Management and Business Processes solution, VSN will also present at IBC the latest developments in VSNExplorer PAM, a module aimed at production environments launched this year, which enhances productivity by facilitating contributions and average monitoring. Its sequence management function is compatible with most ENLs on the market, such as Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro 7 or X.

The VSNExplorer PAM module allows, among many other things, to import and export sequences of these programs and drag and drop the contents to the timeline. It also includes the function of sending a sequence with its associated media to a library (LTO, ODA) and recovering it in the future. Likewise, it prevents the deletion of content associated with a sequence and detects orphan files, which allows you to optimize the use of production storage.

Además, dentro de la solución de News & Live Production, VSN presenta en IBC las últimas novedades de VSNLivecom, su software de playout de estudio. VSNLivecom permite controlar hasta 16 canales de videoservidor (4 A/B/C/D, 4 auxiliares y sus redundancias) y se integra via MOS con la mayoría de NCS del mercado, tales como VSNNews Terminal, Avid iNEWS y ENPS.

Por último, durante IBC 2014, VSN tiene un papel destacado en el prestigioso ciclo de conferencias IBC Workflow Solutions, ya que ha sido seleccionada para presentar la implementación de su MAM, VSNExplorer, en la compañía Telson. En la conferencia se explicará detalladamente cómo Telson, gracias a la solución MAM & BPM de VSN, logró poner en marcha en apenas tres meses el playout de tres nuevos canales de Turner International en España. El evento se celebrará este lunes 15 de septiembre, de 14 a 15 horas, bajo el título MAM&BPM: How to Orchestrate and Optimize Media Workflows.

How to optimize media workflows

VSN has shown its PAM, MAM and BPM solution in a conference at the prestigious IBC Everywhere Workflow Solutions sessions. The case study presented was about how VSNExplores helped the Spanish company Telson integrate its workflow with Turner International.

In the conference, titled MAM&BPM: How to Orchestrate and Optimize Media Workflows, Roberto Duif, International Channel Manager of VSN, and Alfredo Blanco, Head Project Manager of Telson, showed how VSNExplorer got Telson, the subsidiary of Tres60 Grupo specialized in advertising and film post-production and play out services, to implement an automatic platform to manage all its processes related to ingestion, QC and content delivery as part of the airing of four Turner International channels.

VSN's professional services together with Telson defined up to 6 BP's (Bussines Process), and integrations were also carried out with the different systems required by Telson: integration with Tuner's traffic system; Minnetonka for audio processing; Softel for the inclusion of subtitles; Cerify for automatic quality control; Carbon Coder for transcoding, and Signiant for file exchange with Turner International as well as the BP for moving media to the Omneon playout video servers. In addition, integration with SGL and a Quantum library was carried out for the final file. At the Hardware level, 2 230Tb NAS were delivered, as well as the virtualized servers where all VSN EXPLORER processes are executed.

As stated by Alfredo Blanco, Head Project Manager at Telson, "VSN was the only solution that has satisfied us in all aspects; it is a 100% web platform, truly configurable and parameterizable, based on the latest development technologies, and that easily integrates with all existing equipment, which has allowed us to improve and automate all the processes for the deployment of Turner channels, very quickly and efficiently." A very important achievement was the speed with which the system was implemented. In a month and a half, the installation and commissioning was carried out, meeting the objective of going on air within the set deadline.
