Orad updates its Maestro Suite advanced graphics solution
Maestro Suite 6.1 introduces exciting new features that improve ease of use in a studio environment and connection to external systems and other data sources, including social networks such as Facebook or Twitter.
Run has announced the launch of the latest version of its Maestro Suite solution. At NAB 2012 we will be able to see the new possibilities of version 6.1, highlighting greater ease of use in a study environment and the connection to external systems and other data sources.
Maestro Suite is designed for real-time graphics in broadcast, pre- and post-production environments.
Orad has developed an iPad app designed specifically to allow presenters to control Maestro graphics live from the studio itself. The OradControl iPad app allows the presenter to “call” any graphic directly on air at any time, allowing the graphics to flow on the screen as desired.
Another new feature of Maestro is the use of Facebook and Twitter as data sources. Data received from these social networks can be filtered and connected to any object (including tickers), like any other data source. In the case of tickers, the user (journalist, editor or Maestro operator) can manually filter which entries should be displayed on air.
Maestro 6.1 is even more interactive as it will be able to receive callbacks from RenderEngine, allowing Maestro to react to user actions on an interactive device.
With Maestro's support for Avid Command, users can control all video and graphics elements from a single interface. In addition, Maestro 6.1 offers a new non-linear editing plugin for Adobe Premiere, thus expanding the list of compatibility with non-linear editing systems.
