Mediaset España sells its debt in Endemol

With the sale of 4.2% of the 'senior' debt in Endemol, Mediaset España would have earned 46 million euros.

Mediaset España has sold its entire share of Endemol's 'senior' debt, which currently represented 4.2% of the total debt. According to Europa Press, citing sources from the communication group, Mediaset would have earned 46 million euros with this operation.

Mediaset obtained a net profit of 110.52 million euros during 2011, which represents an increase of 65.8% compared to the previous year, in which it earned 70.55 million euros. The adjusted net profit amounted to 143.45 million euros, which represents a margin of 14.2% on revenue. This difference is due to the impact of the intangible amortizations of Cuatro and Digital+.

In 2011, Mediaset España obtained total net income reaching 1,009.33 million euros, with an EBITDA of 192.88 million euros (19.1% more than in 2010).
