Francisco Asensi, new director of Endemol Beyond Spain
Asensi has been part of the original team that launched the digital transformation project of the RTVE Corporation as Director of Business Development and Digital Strategy.
Francisco Asensi has been appointed director of Endemol Beyond Spain. He will supervise and accelerate the expansion of Endemol Spain's digital initiatives, among which is Tuiwok Estudios, an entertainment platform on YouTube that brings together exclusive channels with some of the most famous YouTubers on the network. After its launch a year ago, it already has 40 million monthly views and more than 65 channels.
Endemol, the largest producer in the world, has launched Endemol Beyond, a global project that is part of the digital activities already existing in several markets. The initial investment was 30 million euros. A network of Premium channels has been created on YouTube and other platforms to invest in high-quality productions with the best talent and in cooperation with international brands.
Francisco Asensi has been part of the original team that launched the digital transformation project of the RTVE Corporation as Director of Business Development and Digital Strategy. In the nearly six years that he has remained at RTVE, he has participated in numerous projects that include the new website of the public channel, RTVE.es, the online video platform RTVE A La Carta, the definition of the multiplatform strategy, the launch of activity on social networks, and the transmedia strategy, among others.
As a result of its activity, the public chain's content has achieved a notable presence on different digital platforms and services through agreements with the main consumer electronics manufacturers and the big Internet players such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Sony, Samsung or Amazon.
His previous professional career includes companies in the technology, Internet and entertainment sectors such as EMI Music, Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, Borland Software Corp or Teknoland, among others.
