Mediaset España founds Mediaset Games to bring its film and television licenses to the world of video games
The video game producer Mediaset Games will carry some of the most outstanding content of Mediaset Spain to video game consoles, computers and mobile devices.
Mediaset Games will promote the production of 100% original video games to exploit its film and television licenses together with national or international development studios. Its objectives are to reach the youngest audiences “and those with the greatest commercial demand”, thus creating a new line of business that complements the audiovisual entertainment universe of Mediaset España.
In the words of David Sanz Verjano, director of digital TV content at Mediaset España: "Mediaset Games comes to bring together all the interactive digital entertainment initiatives of Mediaset España. In our mantra of always being on the move, it represents the logical evolution to energize our constant concern to carry out a global exploitation of all the brands and that they can jump from one screen to another depending on each type of audience, in this case focusing on the sector gaming”.
Three movies translated into video games
Based on the plots and protagonists of the three upcoming films of Telecinco Cinema, the group's film subsidiary, the official video games of Malnazidos, Way Down y Tadeo Jones 3: The Curse of the Mummy, co-produced with PlayStation Talents, the program Sony Interactive Entertainment España (SIE Spain). The titles, developed by the studio Gammer Nest, will be released for the Playstation 5 and PlayStation 4 video game consoles.
malnazidos, action and adventure film with touches of the fantasy genre set in the Spanish civil war, will allow players to survive in a context full of zombies; Way Down, which tells a robbery of the secret chamber of the Bank of Spain, will be a game of infiltration, stealth and puzzles; finally, Tadeo Jones 3: The Bride's Curse will bring a narrative adventure to all audiences.
