New tools in Tedial solutions facilitate and streamline broadcasters' workflows
Tedial, a benchmark in software for Media Asset Management (MAM), Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) and Business Process Management (BPM) will present important improvements in workflow optimization at NAB 2012.
Among other news, Tedial will announce at NAB 2012 the support for closed captioning in its Tarsys MAM system which, from now on, will extract, display and insert the subtitles during the ingestion and transcoding itself. Tedial will demonstrate a fully integrated workflow with automated processes that will respond to the demand of broadcasters to adapt to the different legislations for subtitling for the deaf.
On the other hand, following the recommendations of its clients, Tedial has redesigned the interface of its Tarsys MAM solution, offering new functions for cataloging, editing and exporting media to third-party systems.
The new GUI has been specifically designed to perfectly suit professionals of any medium.
In order to simplify processes and workflows in media organizations, Tedial will launch a new web-based version of Ficus BPM at NAB. The new software will allow the implementation, monitoring and execution of workflows in a fully web-based environment. Among other improvements, Tedial will include proxy editing based on automated shaping of the high-resolution version, while Ficus Web Client performs media segmentation as well as editing shaping.
Tedial will also show in Las Vegas improvements to the Capture Manager ingest management tools, which provide complete control of a wide range of VTRs and other devices. The latest version supports industry standard protocols for different routers and has a powerful source programming application. This will allow operators to schedule and implement a work plan based on current or future intakes.
Rafael Dubois, director of sales and marketing at Tedial, has assured that "Tedial's philosophy is to improve productivity and reduce production costs by simplifying and redesigning workflows according to business requirements. These most recent updates reflect our strong development across the entire product line."
