Tedial will show at IBC 2015 the latest developments in its Evolution platform that offers broadcasters, production companies and content owners advanced IT-based tools to accelerate multi-site workflows in Enterprise MAM and Business Process.

Now, more intuitive

Tedial Evolution offers a completely new user experience designed to accelerate workflows both manually and automatically. Built on Tedial's robust, proven and reliable MAM platform, the new HTML5-based user interface allows for improved performance and a more direct relationship with the user. Al ser una plataforma verdaderamente multipantalla (smartphone, tablet, etc.) y multiplataforma (iOS, Android, Windows,..) las operaciones permiten a los usuarios gestionar tareas, validar el material o monitorizar flujos de trabajo desde, incluso, un dispositivo móvil.

The new interface is fully customizable for individual preferences or work assignments, including different metadata views and display configurations, with an integrated activity monitor and unified view of files, workflows and all business processes. The new interface also has shortcuts for use in a sports and live event production environment. Even within the user interface we find an improved multimedia player that includes waveform monitoring, thumbnails and locators that are displayed on the timeline.

New search and indexing engine

One of the important improvements that Tedial has implemented in its platform is the new search and indexing engine that has been expanded to organize searches by collections and other entities related to the object, thus facilitating the indexing of huge databases through the use of shared indexes and automated descriptive metadata based on the punctuation of the texts using stop words. The system now automatically populates user keyword entries and generates suggestions for each entry. It also offers new methods to navigate the MAM through “departments” using a style similar to Amazon with categories and groups. The system can also auto-tag assets based on the most relevant tags.

Relational database

Evolution takes advantage of the use of relational database objects, a new set of tools that offers a service to manage group entities, a multi-level classification scheme (collections, albums, series, projects, rights, delivery packages,…) based on dynamic changes. Employing the power of a true object relational database, entities are registered as assets, generating a repository of all shared information. Assets are classified as members of multiple entities, according to the user's needs.

Mediaset

All information related to an asset can be explored from the Mediaset view including metadata, multimedia files, attached documents, logical versions, processing or delivery orders. Additionally, related assets (physical versions, promotions…) and entities can be explored with the original main asset or its associates wherever they are located.

As for DAM operations, full audio support is available in the basic MAM. Tedial Evolution offers tight integration with rights management systems to ensure this key aspect.

MFI Standard

Finally, note that Tedial Evolution has always adopted the SMPTE and IT standards to ensure future development, now including the IMF standard in MAM systems, as well as the specifications
AMWA FIMS AS-11. Tedial supports the SPMTE standard of MXF, BXF and AXF and BPMN 2.0 Notation to ensure full interoperability.
