Within the framework of Digital Tv Symposium 2020, Look y Verimatrix will participate December 10 in a webinar to share the success story of scarf, the new proposal of shared OTT platform.

As the technological infrastructure for advanced video services continues to evolve exponentially, how can Tier II and III providers effectively compete with larger providers for subscribers while maintaining their proximity advantage?

In September 2020, the Multimedia Operator Platform (PMO) entered the Spanish video market with Zapi, the country's first OTT platform developed by Mirada. By combining an advanced technology platform, collective purchasing power and content trading capability, its launch highlights how a successful bring your own device (BYOD) strategy can massively benefit smaller and regional ISPs and cable operators.

Throughout this webinar that will take place this Thursday, December 10 (10:00 a.m. GMT 11:00 a.m. CET), we will address how Zapi competes effectively against larger suppliers by making use of an advanced technology platform, collective purchasing power and great content negotiation capacity. All this without losing the advantage that proximity to its subscribers brings, typical of level II and III operators.
This proposal allows us to compete profitably with top-tier operators in highly competitive markets, bringing advanced television services focused on both premium and local content to national and regional subscribers.

Zapi's CTO, Jose Carrillo; the CEO of Mirada, Jose L. Vazquez; and the VP of Sales EMEA at Verimatrix, Geir Bjørndal They will share their insights on Zapi's path to successfully double its channel lineup and reduce CAPEX by offering localized and premium content within a modern and secure UX that has nothing to envy of the most advanced Tier 1 platforms.

This debate is moderated by Stuart Thomson, from Digital Tv Europe, and will also feature the participation of the research analyst Maria Rua Aguete, from Omdia.
