Eugeni Sallent, Nuevo Director of Televisió de Catalunya
Sallent has been appointed, without any vote against, at the proposal of the President of the Council, Brauli Duart, thus replacing Mònica Terribas at the head of the Catalan autonomic.
The Governing Council of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation (CCMA) has appointed Eugeni Sallent I Garriga New Director of Televisión de Catalunya. Sallent has been appointed, without any vote against, at the proposal of the President of the Council, Brauli Duart. The new director replaces Mònica Terribas.
Eugeni Sallent (Sabadell, 1962) has a degree in computer science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Master in Business Management from the School of Senior Management and Administration (EADA). Between 1994 and 1995 he was an information consultant at the Generalitat computer center. In 1995, he joined the Catalunya Ràdio radio station as a manager, a position he held until 1999.
Since 1999 he has been General Director of Radiocat XXI, a company of the Godó Group that manages the RAC 1 and RAC 105 stations since 2010 he has also been president of the television producer Nova Veranda.
From 2003 to 2010 he presided over the Catalan Association of Radio (ACR), which integrates private commercial broadcasters in Catalonia.
In 2010 he received the III Quim Regàs Prize for Journalism, in recognition of his professional career.
