TV App Agency receives the Connected TV 2012 award
In this second edition of the Connected TV awards, 75 nominations have been registered, which reflects the dynamism and innovation around connected TV and second screens such as tablets or smartphones.
TV App Agency, a technology company founded in 2011 and an expert in software development for different platforms, has won the Connected TV 2012 award for the most outstanding Technological Innovation, thanks to its multi-platform compiler that allows creating TV Apps for different television platforms from a single source code.
Thus, its engine is offered as an application service hosted in the cloud and offers developers the possibility of creating native television applications in just a few minutes, compared to current deadlines, which can be months. This means an end to the current approach of duplicate or parallel developments and, while ensuring quality, provides true innovation in the application development process for connected television or Smart TV.
The TV App Agency development engine makes brands shift their challenge from technology to content, as it provides them with a unique opportunity to launch their own television channel. In this way, instead of paying a fee for conventional or satellite television, they can now create their own channel and launch it through the Smart TV application store. Furthermore, as the engine provides a cross-platform compiler, all of this can be done efficiently, and at a reasonable price, with maximum reach, and across all platforms and Smart TV devices.
In this second edition of the Connected TV awards, 75 nominations have been registered, which reflects the dynamism and innovation around connected TV and second screens such as tablets or smartphones.
The awards are part of the Smart TV summit, where the television ecosystem has met in recent days to discuss advances in the post-convergence of this medium. The awards recognize service, technological innovation, market impact and leadership business thinking in the connected television sector, including the spread of Hybrid Broadband. Additionally, this year a new category has been added to showcase the best innovations in screen applications and services.
Bruno Pereira, co-founder of TV App Agency, assured that "the connected television market is evolving very quickly and that has been reflected in the awards. Smart TV is changing the way television is made and the way content is consumed. Therefore, the jury members were looking for services and technological solutions that were innovative and that satisfied the needs of the market, so we are delighted that our hard work has been recognized."
