MultiVee receives the award for best project at the CCMA Hackathon

The jury evaluates an application that recommends content to the user when they approach a television screen.

MultiVeeHe Hackaton CCMA has awarded the MultiVee team with the award for best project and has awarded two special awards to Screenwalkers and Wheelteam.

The marathon was held for 24 hours without interruption, on May 2 and 3, at the Arts Santa Mónica in Barcelona. During the day, fifteen teams made up of developers, designers and journalists presented interactive projects that link mobile devices with connected TV.

El equipo MultiVee ha ganado el premio al mejor proyecto del Hackathon CCMA por un sistema de recomendación de contenidos basado en la detección de la proximidad del usuario a una pantalla de televisor. También han sido distinguidas las propuestas de Screenwalkers y Wheelteam, premios especiales a los mejores proyectos basados ​​en el entorno HbbTV y Smart TV, respectivamente. Los equipos ganadores presentarán sus proyectos en el espacio Sónar+D, durante el Festival Sónar 2014, el jueves 12 de junio a las 16.00.

Hackathon CCMA es una iniciativa organizada por el Área de Medios Digitales de la CCMA y el Departamento de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya, en el marco de las jornadas Digital 4C.

After the selection of the candidates by the organization, 15 teams participated in this day, made up of a total of 70 people. Participants had access to various tools, APIs and databases to conceptualize and develop a service that explored the possibilities of interactive and multi-screen television. The only requirement was that the projects linked the television screen with the mobile or tablet screen in some way.
