Christie shines with the new series of Xenolite lamps

The xenon lamps, which Christie is presenting these days at CineEurope, are brighter and longer lasting.

Christie has presented this Monday at CineEurope 2012 a set of four new superior performance Xenolite lamps for its Solaria Series 2 projectors, ranging from 2 kW to 6 kW.

Initially available to exhibitors in the EMEA region, Christie's new premium performance Xenolite lamps are specifically designed for the Christie Solaria CP2220, CP2230 and Christie Cinema 4K DLP projectors. Setting new levels of performance in digital cinema technology, the superior performance lamps offer a lower cost of operation and provide flexibility in brightness and impressive power levels for a variety of screen sizes. Christie's superior performance Xenolite lamps take advantage of the latest in Xenon lamp technology to deliver higher brightness, improved stability and longer life.

Lasting up to 30% longer than current Xenon lamps, the new series of superior performance Xenolite lamps continue to offer an extraordinary 99.999% uptime reliability, while maintaining brightness for longer periods than current Xenon lamps, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.

With warranties of up to 3,200 hours, exhibitors can now increase the overall profitability of their cinemas by postponing lamp replacements, benefiting from reduced lamp costs and fewer maintenance outages.

Christie's new premium performance 19,000 lumens. CDXL-45SP (4.5 kW) and CDXL-60SP (6 kW) have an estimated life of 1,500 hours and 1,100 hours respectively, and are designed to achieve light outputs from 24,000 to 34,000 lumens.

More lumens for less money

The new higher performance Xenolite lamps require the same power to operate, so merchandisers get brighter for a longer period of time, while saving on energy costs and thus reducing their operating costs.

Xenolite lamps will be available from August 2012, initially to exhibitors in the EMEA region only.
